A weekly, progressive bachata styling class where you learn how to add colour and individuality to your bachata dancing. In each class, you can expect: BACHATA TECHNIQUE: Weight transfer, hip movement, frame, turn technique. Unlock your creativity simply by understanding and dancing beautiful bachata. STYLING: What do I do with my arms? How can I use my head? How do I know what fits with the music? There are so many options! Each week focuses on one or two styling elements, including the execution and application with music. ISOLATIONS: have you always wanted to perfect your body rolls, waves, etc? I will break down various isolations so you can focus on what each individual body part is meant to feel or do, and we will incorporate isolations with the music. ATTITUDE AND CONFIDENCE: This class will empower you to explore your own bachata style. Styling gives you agency and control over your own dancing, and is a powerful tool for self-confidence on and off the dance floor. You will have the option to explore aspects of performance as well.
